As has happened for many years in Latin America, some non-Catholic groups have pushed very hard to pull as many Catholics away from the Church as possible. Attacking Our Lady and the Holy Father equally. The pro-abortion groups from the US and Europe are working hard to force their agenda on the local population.
Although television has become much more prevalent in the Third World, radio is still a very powerful media throughout Latin America.
Our goal is to expand the radio station to reach the youth of Belize and Guatemala. We want to bring more youth programs to those who need it now. Approximately 41% of the Belizian population is under the age of 14, and in Guatemala, it is even a higher percentage. These are among the highest rates in Latin America.
Unfortunately, the percent of Roman Catholics in Belize has fallen below 50% of the total population, with protestant, pentecostal, and Jehovahs Witness making up most of the difference. Belize ranks 22nd in the world per capita for their population of Jehovah Witness', or Testigos, as they are called in Spanish.
